New Glue

‘Re-worked’ 2014 explores the intersections of printmaking, photography, sculpture and drawing.

The piece was created using a range of photographed textural surfaces from my collagraph plaques and prints. The collagraph plaques started as a collection of raw materials, which I manipulated into textural surfaces with the use of Richard Serra’s verb list. These material manipulations then became the surface of my collagraph plaques, from which my prints manifested.

Each stage of iterative development within this work was photographed and scanned. The documentation was then used to create an abstract digital drawing with a negative space theme.  Finally, the 26 foot image was printed digitally and draped over an 8 foot stand to give it a three-dimensional form.
